May is for … mittens?

expertly modeled by Mr. Apollo

I was happy to finish those Meilenweit Solo socks. All the photos I’ve taken show the yarn being quite a bit brighter than it actually is. The colourway goes from charcoal to navy to black and it was killing my eyes.

these socks were made for ... napping?

The yarn is very nice, typical Meilenweit quality.  I like the long colour changes, too.

"my beauty is a curse"

So after I’d finished kitchenering up the toes of the big fella’s socks, I was knitting on the sockhead hat for a while as I thought about what to start next.  I still have the St. James sweater lurking in the drawer, but I don’t feel like working on it now.  I was browsing some projects on the rav and thought I might make some mitts.  Some people think I’m insane to be making mittens in “almost summer”, but I figure they’re small (no heavy sweater in my lap), they’re quick and I think I might use up some of my stash of Noro.  I have an affinity for buying Noro yarn and then not knowing what to do with it.  I love the colourways, though.

Saw this cute adoption vid on the Ravelry greyhound group:

I was expecting her to toss her tam up in the air at the end.
